Diamond reveal title of next The
Clone Wars Quarterly title from Dark Horse Comics:
Posted: 22nd June
Diamond Book Distributors' 2010 Fall Panels Catalog (8Mb
PDF )
has listed the next The
Clone Wars Quarterly graphic novella from Dark Horse Comics
as being Deadly
Hands of Shon-Ju. This digest-sized story is written by
Jeremy Barlow (The
Colossus of Destiny) with art by the Fillbach Brothers and
features Jedi Knight Aayla Secura whose covert mission is
threatened by an encounter with Shon-Ju—a former Padawan turned
cult leader. Shon-Ju claims to be after the same Separatist warlord
that Aayla was sent to capture, but he also has plenty of reasons to
hate the Republic and the Jedi. The Force is with Aayla, but she may
need more than her lightsaber against “The Deadly Hands of Shon-Ju”!
While there's been now official announcement by Dark Horse Comics,
this listing does confirms Dark Horse Comics' Executive
Editor Randy Stradley's announcement back in January in the letters
page of the final issue of their short-lived The
Clone Wars comic series that the next The
Clone Wars Quarterly title would feature "Aayla Secura and
two new villains".
According to Diamond Deadly
Hands of Shon-Ju will be released in the US on December
14th.

Randy Stradley hints at future Star
Wars comic projects:
Posted: 20th June
With fan speculation still running high over Dark
Horse Comics' forthcoming Star Wars projects and
replacement for Legacy,
Dark Horse Comics' Senior Editor Randy Stradley has posted
hints at future projects:
-
ITEM: Though his
collaborator, Jan Duursema, is still busy drawing issue #50 of Legacy,
and he himself is preparing to move to a new house halfway
across the country, writer John Ostrander has already begun work
on the scripts for the next very top-secret thing that he and
Jan will be doing. And that’s all I’m going to tell you
about that!
-
ITEM: Writer Tom Taylor (Invasion)
has submitted a proposal to turn the concept of Blood
Ties into a semi-regular series, with the idea of having
artist Chris Scalf provide the painted art for each issue! Note:
it will not be what you expect it to be!
-
ITEM: Another well-known
writer, whose name I will not reveal at this time, has submitted
a proposal which may just turn out to be the series that
launches our twenty-fifth anniversary year. I’ll be able to
tell you more in about six weeks.
-
ITEM: While he waits for
writer Mick Harrison to prepare the scripts for the next Dark
Times arc, artist Doug Wheatley has begun work on a series
of covers for Conan: The Road of Kings!
Whatever we take from this, it is
clear that Dark Horse Comics has serious plans for next
year's output as it will coincide with both their own 25th
Anniversary and the 20th Anniversary of Dark Horse Comics
gaining the Star Wars comics license.
