Review
by Bones, UK, 2011:
"The Adventures in Hyperspace series again
struggles to find the balance between catering for a young audience
and staying loyal to the Expanded Universe and again it succumbs to
silliness. This particular volume contains wiggly mushrooms, Han the
Humanitarian (who gives away spare gems), and Gamorreans being
described as “playful”. The plot is just as uninteresting as the
first: Han and Chewie go on a job for Jabba, Han’s stubborn
impatience and Chewie’s love of the aforementioned mobile fungi
cause problems in the negotiations, Jabba sends them to fetch a
shipment of gemstones that are being mined by a race of enslaved
plants. Chewbacca is revealed as being not only a closet
horticulturalist but a secret fan of arena death matches where
gundarks eat womp rats etc.
"The whole book is just silly. Not necessarily bad, just very
silly."
