In an attempt to
shorten General Grievous' reach, Jedi Masters Obi-Wan
Kenobi and Mace Windu lead a clone force in a daring
raid against the Tambor Deep Space Centre, a Geonosian
workshop used to repair Separatist battleships. However,
things are not going according to plan for the Jedi and
clones have been met by stiffer resistance than they
expected forcing then on the defensive rather than
offensive. Things get worse as they attempt to breach
the impregnable Security Complex in the stations' hangar
when Commander Cody orders an attack by a squadron of
clone walkers. But the entire squadron is wiped out by
the Complex's formidable defensive systems, causing Cody
to blame himself for the loss of his troopers.
Behind improvised cover, the two Jedi Masters, clone
commanders and troops are taunted to surrender by Gorgol
the Handy, the Security Complex's Geonosian commander,
he believes the Jedi and clones are no match for both
his own military skills and defense systems. However,
even after suffering such great losses, the Jedi and
clones are determined to succeed in their mission. With
their remaining forces, Mace suggests they split their
forces that best represents their particular abilities.
Thus Obi-Wan and Mace will 'disappear' while Commander
Ponds neutralises the station's transmitter relay to
prevent Gorgol's remote control over his defensive
systems and Commander Cody and the remaining clones will
put on a 'special performance' for Gorgol.
As Ponds infiltrates the station's transmitter room,
Mace clears up the reinforcement droid force in the
workshops and Obi-Wan hides himself in the hangar's
rafters, Cody and his troopers walk towards the Security
Complex's door waving a white flag of surrender. Unsure
of the clones' true actions, Gorgol sends a patrol out
to check the hangar perimeter and when the patrol
reports an all-clear, the Geonosian and his remaining
droid force leave the Security Complex to accept the
clones' surrender.
With Gorgol and his droid force now in the open, Ponds
destroys the transmitter relay as the two Jedi attack
Gorgol's droid force. The Geonosian's droids are no
match for two Jedi Masters and are quickly reduced to
scrap metal. Just as Gorgol prepares to activate his
defensive systems by remote, Cody blasts the control
from Gorgol's hands forcing the Geonosian's surrender to
the Jedi.
Obi-Wan congratulates Cody on his marksmanship and how
its tactics that win battles, not numbers, but Cody
responds that he was aiming for Gorgol's head and he
only hit the remote control because his rifle always
pulls to the right. |
