Infinities: Return of the Jedi
GRAPHIC NOVEL (2004)
Adam Gallardo et al.
Dark Horse Comics
Also published as Comic Book series
Synopsis:
This book collects together the following stories from Infinities: Return of the Jedi comic series:
  • Issues 1, 2, 3 & 4:
In this version of Return of the Jedi, an accident puts C-3PO out of commission, and he is unable to act as Jabba the Hutt's interpreter during his negotiations with Leia (disguised as the bounty hunter Boushh) for her "prisoner" Chewbacca. One misunderstanding leads to another, and before you know it, thermal detonators are flying and everybody's shooting! When the smoke clears, Boba Fett has reclaimed Han Solo's frozen body, Leia has commandeered Jabba's sail barge, and Luke is going to be late for an important rendezvous on Dagobah...
As Leia, Lando, and Chewbacca pursue Boba Fett in an effort to retrieve the frozen form of Han Solo, Luke Skywalker discovers that he has arrived too late for his rendezvous with Yoda. Worse, he has run into the waiting clutches of Darth Vader. Unaware that Luke has been captured by the Empire, Leia and the others have their own encounter with Imperials as well as a fateful showdown with Fett!
Han is rescued, but Luke has been captured, and Leia's determination to free him has led to a precipitous and premature attack on the Death Star! Meanwhile the Rebel ground troops on Endor have run into their own problems. It all leads up to a surprising setback for the Rebel Alliance - and for Luke Skywalker in particular!
It's crunch time for the entire Skywalker family, and Luke and Leia's friends and allies! Luke must decide whether to submit to the Emperor or watch his sister die. Vader must decide if he can bear to have the blood of both of his children on his hands. And the final hopes of the Rebel Alliance rest on the Millennium Falcon, its pilot Lando Calrissian, and his only gunner Han Solo--who is still blind from the effects of carbon freezing!
