A Guide to Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith novellas

LATEST NEWS|THE e-BOOKS

Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith began as an e-Book novella series by John Jackson Miller (writer of Knight Errant and Knights of the Old Republic comic series) that was released as a free PDF download from Suvudu.com (also available for major e-Book readers) one month prior to each Fate of the Jedi title. It tells the untold story of the Fate of the Jedi's forgotten Sith castaways, their battle to survive, and their quest to re-conquer the galaxy some 5,000 years before the Battle of Yavin. In July 2012 all eight e-book novellas were collected along with an exclusive ninth story, Pandemonium, in a paperback anthology volume aptly titled Lost Tribe of the Sith: The Collected Stories. One month later Dark Horse Comics began publishing their 5-issue tie-in comic book series Lost Tribe of the Sith: Spiral, also penned by Miller, and set immediately after the events of Pandemonium.

Hidden away from the rest of the galaxy is an isolated tribe of Sith descendents from ancient times. As Luke Skywalker follows the distant path of Jacen Solo, blazed when Solo sought out obscure and arcane Force knowledge, his travels stir these Sith into action. Who are they? What do they want?

[Lost Tribe of the Sith: The Collected Stories] Changes for Lost Tribe of the Sith: The Collected Stories
Publisher Del Rey has announced via their Facebook[External site - opens in a new window/tab] page two changes to the US release of John Jackson Miller's collected volume of his Lost Tribe of the Sith stories, Lost Tribe of the Sith: The Collected Stories. The first is that its release date has been pulled forward by one week from July 31st to July 24th.

The second change is to its published format: it is changing from mass market paperback to trade paperback format (the same format size of Karen Miller's The Clone Wars novels). The reason for the second change has been revealed by the book's author John Jackson Miller. Writing on his own blog[External site - opens in a new window/tab] Jackson says the the book will now feature his "maps of the places known to the Lost Tribe" and "include the continent of Keshtah, where the action occurs in the first eight e-books reprinted in this 432-page volume — and the map of a new, secret place that readers learned about in the eighth short story, Secrets. It's the location for the big new hundred-page plus novella, Pandemonium, appearing anywhere for the first time in this edition." Jackson explains "these are the maps I was working on while writing the books — my fun Tolkien/D&D moment while designing this fantasy world. I'm thrilled readers will be able to follow along — the designer-improved maps are pretty handy!"
