Comic Book Series, GRAPHIC NOVEL

Published:

2004, 2006

Synopsis:
This book collects together the following issues from the
Empire series by Dark Horse Comics:
  • Issue 23 : The Bravery of being Out of Range
It was supposed to be an easy gig... transport a young woman across the desert to the waiting arms of her friends. But nothing’s ever easy for reformed smuggler BoShek, and he soon finds himself in the middle of a struggle between a militant cell of the Rebel Alliance and Imperial operatives - and in direct conflict with his own desires to avoid galactic politics.
With the fires of civil war burning around him, BoShek may be forced to make a stand with one side or the other... unless he can make a run...
  • Issues 24 & 25 : Idiot's Array
Han Solo and Chewbacca are tapped by the Rebel Alliance for a mission that requires their special skills and knowledge of the underworld. But for Han, it's a chance to get away from the new responsibilities he's taken on since joining the Rebellion and indulge his former free-booting ways. Visiting old haunts brings chance meetings with old friends. But some friendships may only be as deep as one's pockets, and when a fellow smuggler learns of the Imperial bounty on their heads, Han and Chewie's mini-vacation threatens to become a life sentence!
Beauty and beast join forces when smuggler Sheel Odala teams up with Chewbacca to free a captive Han Solo from the clutches of an Imperial-allied crime lord. If Odala's looks aren't stunning enough, she's handy with a blaster, and is an old friend. True, there are some trust issues -- seeing as she's the one who betrayed Han to the Empire in the first place. And if that doesn't raise the stakes, how about the impending arrival of a certain heavy-breathing Dark Lord of the Sith?
  • Issues 26 & 27 : "General" Skywalker
Luke Skywalker and Red Squadron fly escort for a top secret Rebel Intelligence operation on a supposedly unpopulated planet. A surprise Imperial patrol traps half the squad on the ground, and jeopardizes the secrecy of the mission. As things start to look even worse, Luke makes a surprising discovery that dates back to the Clone Wars, a discovery that can either save the Rebels or destroy them.
Luke Skywalker is a pilot for the Rebel Alliance and a Jedi-in-training, but when a Rebel intel team gets pinned down by an unexpected Imperial patrol Luke receives an unexpected promotion-to General! It's all part of Commander Narra's plan to enlist the aid of an unexpected ally that could turn the tables on the Imperials.
