"Hoole leaves Tash and Zak at Hologram Fun World whilst he absconds to do something else.
I disliked this book. The choices of the characters are improbable and the plot is ludicrous. Hoole leaves the children alone whilst they are being pursued by bounty hunters, the children then wander off with a stranger (admittedly we as readers known that Lando is an OK guy, but the children are essentially still wandering off with someone they've just met and barely know). The supposedly scary sections of the book are not scary at all as the series has become so formulaic that we know what to expect - mainly that the protagonists will be absolutely fine regardless of what is thrown at them.
When Hologram Fun World first appeared in Queen of the
Empire, I was unimpressed with it as a location. That feeling hasn't changed here. It is a gimmick and not a particularly good one at that.
Disappointingly dull and uninteresting."
