Since the release of Star Wars Episode IV : A New Hope in 1977, graphic stories (comics) have been a part of the Expanded Universe. From the black and white newspaper stories by Pizzazz and the first monthly Marvel Comics to the full colour graphic novels by Dark Horse Comics, the Star Wars Universe has never appeared so visual outside of the films.
